Biography
Aniruddha Agarwal is currently working as a Clinical Vitreoretinal Fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. He has completed his Clinical Research Fellowship (the subspecialty of vitreoretinal and uveitis) in the Ocular Imaging Research and Reading Center, Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute, Omaha, Nebraska, the USA between 2014 to 2016. He did his ophthalmology residency at the PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. He is the recipient of prestigious awards such as the Bayer Global Ophthalmology Association Project (GOAP) Fellowship, Carl Camras Best Researcher Award, J.M Pahwa Award by Vitreoretinal Society of India (VRSI) and Narsing Rao Award by Uveitis Society of India (USI). In 2015, he was felicitated by the Hon. Prime Minister of India, Sh. Narendra Modi at PGIMER. He has authored more than 140 publications and 36 book chapters. His areas of interest include medical and surgical diseases of the retina such as AMD, diabetes, as well as uveitis.
