Previously was Member Governing Council & Joint Treasurer, Vitreoretinal Society of India (VRSI); Member Scientific Committee UKSOS for consecutive terms; Chief Coordinator of one of eight collaborating Centres for RP Centre, AIIMS & Sightsavers International Phase II Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) Project. Residency in Ophthalmology at Maulana Azad Medical College & Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi, India 1997- 2000; Vitreoretinal Fellowship at Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India 2000-2002; Research & Clinical Retina Fellowship at the University of California, Irvine, USA 2004-2006, where he did research on retinal cells in tissue culture.
