Yumeng’s current research focus is on using retinal vascular imaging to study glaucoma and DR. Her main role is to analyze and interpret clinical and investigative data for early detection, monitoring and follow up treatment of glaucoma and DR patients. Yumeng has also become an expert in a whole range of advanced investigative technologies for both anterior and posterior segments of the eye, including swept-source optical coherence topography (SS-OCT), spectral-domain OCT, OCT-angiography, and corneal tomography by Pentacam and Corvis. Yumeng has authored more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and three book chapters, focusing on advance research in vision science including glaucoma research and corneal disease research. In addition, she has presented her work at major international meetings in ophthalmology and visual sciences, including The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) Annual Meeting, World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Annual Meeting, and has been invited to give lectures around the world in recognition of her expertise. She has also been recognized with few prestigious awards including the Richard C. Troutman MD DSc (Hon) Troutman Prize, International Society of Refractive Surgery (ISRS), in 2018; The ARVO Travel Grant Award in 2017, etc.
