Marco Attilio Zarbin, M.D., Ph.D. trained at the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute (Johns Hopkins Hospital) and is Chair of the Institute of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, New Jersey Medical School, Rutgers University. Dr. Zarbin is a vitreoretinal surgeon, has co-authored 251 peer-reviewed publications, and has co-edited 1 book on age-related macular degeneration, 2 books on cell-based therapy for retinal degenerative disease, and 2 books on the management of diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Zarbin is Editor-in-Chief of Translational Vision Science and Technology and is a member of the Editorial Boards of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology-Retina, and the Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology.
