Chieko Shiragami graduated from Kansai Medical University in 1993 and received her MD degree from Okayama University Medical school in 1999. She is currently an Associate Professor at Kagawa University Faculty of Medicine, Kagawa, Japan. Her current research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of exudative age-related macular degeneration (AMD), neovascular central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC), and macular telangiectasia (MacTel type 1).
The theme of her research is the pathogenesis of macular atrophy after multiple intravitreous injection of anti-VEGF121 agents for age-related macular degeneration.
